[it's an illusion...]

I'm sitting here in my office sipping on an excessively expensive Starbuck's tall latte (I forfeited the flavor shot because I only had 3 dollars - and that would not have been enough cash - how terrible is that?!?!). What can I say, my coffee vendor wasn't outside today and I'm super tired.

There's been a lot going on, of course, and it's been great. Geelite is officially out of the country and I miss her already. We hung out with her friend Kara on Friday night to celebrate her departure. Three words. Kara is kool. I'm happy we finally bonded...in Pharmacy Bar of all places.

On Saturday I worked on my pieces in the studio from 2 p.m. until midnight. It was awesome. I was virtually alone the whole time (Mosaic Grad Hillary was present for a while) and got a ton done while rocking out to some classic rock. The Boyfriend stopped up with Thai and we dined on the main studio table - it was so romantic.

On Sunday we were so productive...a little Target shopping (this makes me feel good about shopping there, by the way) to include wifebeaters, new socks for the trip and a cute denim mini (and I mean mini) skirt. We also indulged in some Don Pablo's , made a visit to Petsmart, Vitamin Shopped our way to good health and happy hair, and made the quintessential weekend Shopper's run.

On Monday, I woke up early a.m. and was in the studio by 9. I stayed until 4:15 and was able to grout (and finish) my Lantern Relief Panel (pics to come) . I'm SO happy with it. Carlito dropped by the studio to say hello and that was a lovely treat, as he is one of the studio's favorite fixtures!

Last but not least, The Boyfriend and I began viewing the first cd of Arrested Development and all I can say is Funniest. Show. Ever.

and of course....

Countdown: 3 days
until...
The MilChic Summer Gig

Quote of the day:

"It's an illusion. An illusion. A trick is something a whore does for money... [sees children listening nearby]...or cocaine."
