[footie pajamas fo' life]

Have I told you that my new printer has a scanner on it? Well it does and I am so scanner-happy you cannot even imagine. I mean, I can scan anything! When my mind has an ounce of free space, I'm usually thinking of all the things I can scan...polaroids, old photos, ticket stubs, random things in my apartment, drawings, matchbooks. The possibilites are endless! Stop laughing, I'm serious. Wicked serious. I was born to scan. Not only does this mean I have lots of cool stuff to work with digitally, but it also means that many of my photos, especially the fade-worthy polaroids, can be captured in time and not face imminent death from sunlight. Or light at all for that matter. The other upside is that I can post old pics and cool things on my blog. And that's fun for all of us. Stop acting like you don't care, cause I know you do. I sense your excitement. It's that obvious. So here's a fun one of yours truly:

So, the biggest question I know you're all asking is 'what the hell is that girl thinking'. Well, I propose the following. Take your pick or please, by all means, come up with your own and please share with us.

a) "It's a good thing you got me this Strawberry Shortcake Sink and Stove 'cause you have no idea how bad I would have flipped my sh*t."

b)"You wanna be startin' something, b*tch? HUH?"

c)"If you take one more picture of me wearing these footie pajamas I'm gonna shove that camera up your *&@#!~@(@)$^@#@&!."

d)"I'll do a half-smile, but only cause I know you made cupcakes."

e)"Gimme a beer - now."

f)"One day my hair won't be straight like this, and I'll have the damn Italian side to thank for it."

g)"Mom, I know that any minute now you're going to start putting my hair in those god-awful rollers as you secretly pray for one of your children to have curly hair. And I'm gonna be pissed about it....for years."

h)"Did you hear me? I said gimme a beer...and a steak. Now."

i)"This Sink and Stove is likely the source of my future obsession with food. Thanks a lot."

j)"Note to self: Turtle necks and zip up pajamas aren't in."

k)"One day you're gonna pay for my education...hehe. I think I'll pick GW."

Peace out dawgs.

And praise be to Strawberry Shortcake...if not for her, I may have turned out weird or somethin'.

[this post contains rambling. lots of it]

It's Sunday night and I got home from yet another night of very financially unsuccessful waitressing. For some reason, the restaurant's been dead, and I am in desperate need of some cashola. I should take up a coin collection jar to pay for my art supplies. I wonder if people would donate?

This weekend proved slightly more difficult for my studies, as I'm starting to work in Illustrator for my studio methodology class and I was having some trouble translating my sketches into computer images. Tough. Tough. However, this afternoon I was finally able to twist my mind and see things as they could be, digitally - and now I'm on my way to completing the 18 minimum for Thursday's deadline. I was, on the upside, able to finish my 1st photoshop assignment, so that was good. I would share, but blogger's being funny right now. Maybe later?

On a random note, my parents woke up on Saturday morning and suddenly decided to pack up the SUV and head to the Roger Waters show at the Tweeter Center in MA. They said it was a killer show and I really hope that The Boyfriend, Geelite and I will at some point be able to attend, as I'm a HUUUUUGE Pink Floyd fan and I've heard that he actually includes some songs off The Wall before and after playing Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. Heaven!

Okay, I'm basically blabbering aimlessly in this post, so I should probably end now and start up more compositions before trying to sleep. Any news, guys? Anything you want to share? There's plenty of comment space and since I've written nothing remarkable, feel free to share something interesting if you have the time. I would love to hear it. Anything. Something. Talk to me!

Have a great Monday:)
