Tomorrow is my last day of work here at The University. Mind. Blowing. That's all I have to say. The Director is taking me out for lunch with The Office Mate at Circle Bistro (yum) to "celebrate/mourn my new career"...I am starting to get really excited. Today I checked my myspace page...have I given you guys the link yet? No? Dir.
...as if you couldn't have guessed it...
Anyway, I was checking my page and my inbox and found a message from a girl named Ashleigh. She told me that she is a new Corcoran student, moving down to DC this very weekend, and she basically just rattled off a few questions for me....what's it like down here, school things, etc. What a reality check!
Aside from the part about feeling slightly older (except not being able to pin point it), my response email was good, I think. I mean, I told her about my situation...and talked about location and stuff. It was good. The point is though, is that it got me realizing that I've already connected with one student...that I will be connecting with even more students. There will be so many people there, many of which will be total freaks (fingers crossed, see tracie's post about lunch conversations) and I hope, when it boils down to it, that I am one of them.
I know deep inside that I'm an art freak, a weirdo, a let's-dye-my-hair-neon-pink kinda girl....but I just wanna feel it, when I'm among the cool.
Tomorrow's my last day here and then I become the me of the future. The graphic design student me. At long long last.

Pink is good . . . but I also think you'd look really good with no hair or a buzz cut!
You should also order a beer at lunch tomorrow! I mean, what the hell, beer is good for you! :)
better yet . . . order a Beefeater martini, very dry, dirty with blue cheese stuffed olives. Now THAT's the way to close out a career! :)
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
blue cheese stuffed olives, extra dirty martini....yummmmm. Don't tempt me with the buzz cut idea...one of these days...it's gonna happen.
It would look soooooooooooo good on you!
Seriously though . . . the martini would make you a cult hero among all the working stiffs at GW. They'd be talking about you for years!
I think they're already going to be talking about me for years;)
