[i am doll parts]

Good morning everyone.

I'm in class right now. I love this class. Neal is the instructor and this year he was nominated for the second time for a Grammy and we actually didn't have class a week ago because my instructor was at the Grammys! Is that not the coolest thing ever? I'm so in the right place. Anyway, the whole class is so casual and we laugh a lot and I sit and say stupid things and get funny looks and we have so much fun. It's nice to have that kind of silly banter with not just students, but with teachers, as well. So nice.

We are going over our skateboard designs that were due this a.m. Small group critiques are taking place as I speak and so I'm taking a quick break to write you and sip my latte. And by sip I actually mean chug because to be honest, I was working on my designs 'til 2 a.m. in the Shaadster Palace with Jeneva there, as well, and we had such a good time. We drank that yummy Pinot Noir and had smoke breaks and broke it down to some classic musical genius such as "I Wanna Sex You Up" by Color Me Badd. Rockin'. Good times, good times.

Anyway, by the time Jeneva left, I was buzzed and closed up my lap top to enjoy a few bites of Shaadi's Ramen and an episode of the Sopranos. It was good. Furio is the hottest thing ever. Don't know him? Watch the show, dammit! It's so addictive.

So I got to bed around 4:15 a.m. and was able to say good morning to Tim as he was waking up at that obscene hour to get ready for work. I woke up to a shrilling alarm clock that I'm pretty sure was going off for about 45 minutes because I had only 15 minutes to get ready and get out of my apartment to catch the shuttle and get my printing done before class. I made it, fortunately, and got here with time to spare. Then I proceeded to create a hunger uproar when I started vocalizing all the breakfast meats I could eat in one sitting, at this very moment. Once everyone was nice and fired up about bacon, it was time for a latte break. Ah, art school. They understand.

So plans for this weekend include waitressing both on Saturday and Sunday from noonish to 5-ish, homework, and hopefully, fingers crossed, dancing on Saturday night with Jeneva and Shaadi. Let's hope the winter laziness doesn't come around and kick our asses into staying in, because honestly, this girl needs to get her ass-shakin' on. Anyone who wants to dance is, of course, welcome.

Here are some examples of my latest sources of inspiration:

Are you as terrified as my classmates?

Have a great weekend!
